CapeOmega appoints new CEO

Jan 08, 2016

The boards of CapeOmega Holding AS and CapeOmega AS are pleased to announce the appointment of Gisle Eriksen as new CEO effective 01 January 2016. He takes over from Einar Gjelsvik who had been Acting CEO for the past 9 months.

“2015 was an active year for the company, ending with our acquisitions of shares of the Oselvar field and participating interest in Gassled. This transition is well timed, as the team moves into managing and following up on the new partnerships,” says CapeOmega Chairman, Tore Holm. “Gisle will contribute greatly with his broad background and experience in the oil & gas industry as we grow further in 2016.”

Eriksen has more than 25 years of experience on the NCS and internationally, with his last position being Manager – Partner Operations, Commercial and External Affairs at ConocoPhillips Norway. Eriksen has broad experience from asset management, commercial, business development, finance and external affairs. In addition to the Norwegian oil & gas industry he has extensive experience from both the US and the UK.

CapeOmega is an oil & gas company established to increase value in mature fields. The company partners in and continues to pursue interests in mature fields with a goal to increase oil & gas recovery and prolong field life.
