CapeOmega Carbon Storage AS has agreed the sale of 40% ownership to NCS EXL 004 Luna Carbon storage licence with TotalEnergies EP Norge AS, completion is subject to standard approvals.
CapeOmega is in the process of optimising its portfolio, following the recent announcement by the Norwegian state to reorganise ownership of the Norwegian gas infrastructure.
CapeOmega will continue its portfolio development to secure growth and meet our ambition to be become a leading independent energy transition player.
TotalEnergies will be a strong participant and can provide competence and capacity to support the Operator, Wintershall Dea Norge AS, and the further development of Luna. Ensuring CO2 storage capacity and the CCS value chain has been and continues to be a priority for CapeOmega.
